This test method describes the procedure for establishing sampling locations, sampling intervals or test locations within a lot, which has been defined in terms of mass, volume, perimeter or batches. The method contains procedures which allow locations or intervals to be selected using either:
- Random Sampling; or
- Random Stratified Sampling.
These procedures ensure that samples or tests are taken at locations or intervals which are distributed within a lot in such a way that bias is removed from the selection process.
This test method can also be downloaded as a Word document.
