Test Methods and Specifications

Austroads Technical Specification ATS 1330 sets out the requirements for the management of Utilities at the Site, which includes:

1. Liaison with Utility Owners, both prior to work commencing and during Utility Adjustment Work;
2. Determining the accurate location of the Utilities; and
3. Protection of Utilities during work under the Contract.

Where specified in the Contract documents, the scope of work may also include:

1. Investigation of the location of existing Utilities on Site;
2. Design of the Works to meet the requirements of the Utility Owners;
3. Construction of civil works associated with Utility Adjustment Work (such as trenching, placing bedding material and placing backfill);
4. Management and/or supervision of companies undertaking Utility Adjustment Work who are accredited with the Utility Owner.
