Austroads Technical Specification ATS 3550 sets out the requirements for the diamond grinding of concrete pavements. It may be used for the rectification of a newly constructed non-conforming pavement or for the rehabilitation of an existing pavement.
Diamond grinding may be used to achieve any of the following:
- correction of pavement surface levels;
- improvements to ride characteristics; and
- restoration of surface texture.
