Asset management practitioners and transport agencies across Australia and New Zealand are invited to contribute to the future development of the Austroads Guide to Asset Management (AGAM) by participating in a new industry survey.
The survey seeks feedback on AGAM's value, user experience and areas for improvement. Insights gathered will help guide future enhancements and ensure the resource continues to support the effective planning, management and maintenance of transport infrastructure.
The Austroads Guide to Asset Management provides nationally recognised guidance on the application of contemporary, whole-of-organisation asset management practices to road networks. Based on the principles of the international standard ISO 55000, the guide supports organisations in adopting a strategic, customer-focused approach to managing assets across their lifecycle.
The survey is being conducted by WSP and NTRO on behalf of Austroads as part of a review and update of the guide. Responses will help identify emerging challenges, evolving industry needs and priority topics for future editions.
Austroads encourages participants to share the survey with colleagues who use or have an interest in asset management guidance. Broad industry input will help ensure the guide remains practical, relevant and responsive to the needs of the transport sector.
The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and is open until 14 August 2026.
