Equitable Access to Licensing and Registration

The purpose of the project is to improve fairness, consistency, and accessibility for people with disability across registration and licensing systems in Australia and New Zealand.

The project comprises two workstreams:

• Foundation Workstream (delivered by MACA), and
• Vehicle Workstream (delivered by Datum Road Safety Pty Ltd).

A Disability Engagement Working Group is being established under the Foundation Workstream to provide independent disability-informed advice to support delivery of key project activities.

Insights from the Vehicle Workstream will inform ongoing national work to improve consistency and clarity in vehicle modification guidance across jurisdictions.
