This report provides practical advice and examples of ways to successfully accelerate transport infrastructure projects and programs up to $500 million.
An accelerated project or program has delivery expedited, typically in response to external factors such as disaster recovery, financial stimulus or government priorities. To expedite delivery, these projects may adopt novel approaches to planning, project management, design, procurement or construction.
Focus is given to identifying and mitigating potential issues at each stage of the project/program delivery lifecycle. Central to this is managing tensions between project timing, quality and costs, particularly when time is the key constraint.
Successful delivery of accelerated projects is underpinned by initial planning, strong governance and leadership, role clarity and an understanding across the team of the importance of the work.
The research methodology included a questionnaire, interviews and a literature review.
Join us for a webinar about the methodology on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at 1 pm AEDT with Duminda Wijayasinghe, David Silvester and Ray Paterson.
