Intersections account for a large proportion of deaths and serious injuries across Australia and New Zealand, with high-speed signalised intersections representing a significant risk. Raised intersections have been used internationally for several decades and have been implemented in Australasia in recent years. Earlier this year, Austroads published AP-T392-26 Raised Signalised Intersections: Literature Review and Summary of Current Practices that documents the current evidence base for raised intersections.

This webinar will briefly present on the key findings from this report and conduct a deep-dive on the Gordonton Rd, Hamilton raised intersection. A panel discussion will also be facilitated to address common misconceptions and mitigation measures to develop, design, operate and maintain raised intersections. Attendees will also have the opportunity to join the discussion as part of the Q&A.

This webinar is presented by Max McCardel and Blair Turner.
