Network Operating Plans (NOPs) are used by road transport professionals to link strategic policy objectives to day-to-day road network management and operational decisions.
This library highlights the benefits of using NOPs and provides practitioners with a NOP framework, links to more detailed information and Australasian case studies.
The content has been designed for use by state, city and regional transport agencies responsible for developing and implementing NOPs. Other agencies and stakeholders (including transport operators and contractors) who are impacted by how transport agencies operate their road-based transport networks will also find the material of use.
While some transport agencies are well advanced in the development and implementation of NOPs, others do not yet have processes in place.
As such, this library focuses on intent and process rather than detail. It provides options and guidance relating to local application and potential implications.
