This document contains the syllabus for the training programs that form the National Road Safety Auditor Training. There are 4 training programs as follows:
- Road Safety Engineering Program
- Informed Road Safety Audit User Program
- Road Safety Auditor Program for Public and Private Roads and Related Areas
- Senior Road Safety Auditor Program for Public and Private Roads and Related Areas.
Each of these training programs includes one or more of the 4 syllabus modules as follows:
- RSA 1 – Identify road safety engineering practices
- RSA 2 – Identify a road safety management framework
- RSA 3 – Conduct a road safety audit under the guidance of a Senior Road Safety Auditor
- RSA 4 – Lead a road safety audit team.
The syllabus has been designed to permit training organisations to develop their training material and apply to become approved training providers for the delivery of road safety audit training.
National Registration Framework for Road Safety Auditors
Austroads members have agreed to implement a National Registration Framework for Road Safety Auditors (NRFRSA). The NRFRSA will be a framework for the registration of trainee auditors, road safety auditors and senior road safety auditors. Learn more about the Framework.
