Austroads has released nine new technical specifications to support best practice in the construction and maintenance of road and transport infrastructure. These specifications provide clear requirements for earthworks, stormwater infrastructure, traffic facilities, and safety barriers, helping practitioners deliver safer, more durable, and efficient projects.

“These specifications provide consistent guidance across critical areas of design and construction, helping industry standardise approaches, reduce risk, and improve the quality and longevity of infrastructure projects. They represent an important step towards harmonising practices across jurisdictions and ensuring sustainable construction methods,” said Ross Guppy, Austroads’ Transport Infrastructure Program Manager.
